Full Time Filmmaker
The Ultimate Online Film School
Audience: This project was set to target a broad audience, including beginners who are just starting out in filmmaking, intermediate learners who want to improve their skills, and advanced professionals seeking specialized knowledge. The goal was to create a comprehensive learning experience that catered to the needs of this diverse audience, ensuring that each user could find relevant and valuable content.
Responsibilities: learning design (uploading course videos, mockups, prototypes), visual design (website design, landing page design), customer journey mapping, sales funnel automation
Tools Used: Go High Level, Google Docs, Canva, Google Drive.

The Problem and Solution
Analyzing the situation, one of the significant challenges that the client/owner of Full Time Filmmaker encountered was the lack of inclusivity and effective community management within the platform’s forums. Instances of inappropriate behaviour and comments created an unwelcoming environment for some users, particularly women. This issue was significant enough to prompt feedback and requests for better moderation and support.
To address the issue of inclusivity and community management, I implemented several key measures. Enhanced moderation policies and tools were put in place to promptly monitor and address inappropriate behaviour.
Clear community guidelines emphasizing respect and inclusivity were established and communicated to ensure all members understood the expected conduct. A more robust support system was created to allow users to report issues and receive timely assistance, fostering a safer environment. Additionally, regular training sessions were provided for moderators to handle sensitive situations effectively and maintain a positive community atmosphere. By implementing these strategies, the platform successfully fostered a more inclusive and supportive community, ensuring that all users felt valued and safe.

To bring the Full-Time Filmmaker project to life, I leveraged a range of tools and platforms to address the client’s needs and create an inclusive, engaging learning environment. The journey began with a deep understanding of the target audience, which included beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced professionals in filmmaking. This diverse group required a comprehensive and adaptable approach to meet their varied needs.
_Learning Design: Using Go High Level, I meticulously uploaded course videos, ensuring they were organized into coherent modules that guided learners through the curriculum effectively. I created detailed mockups and prototypes to visualize the user journey and refine the content flow. This iterative process involved continuous feedback and usability testing, enabling us to fine-tune the course layout to enhance the learning experience.
_Visual Design: Canva played a pivotal role in creating visually appealing website elements, banners, and landing pages. The goal was to maintain a professional and consistent look that resonated with the brand identity. By designing interactive and engaging visuals, I aimed to simplify complex concepts and make the platform more inviting for users.
_Customer Journey Mapping: Google Docs was instrumental in documenting each stage of the user experience, from initial awareness to course completion. I mapped out the customer journey, identifying key touchpoints and ensuring that interactions at each stage were tailored to meet users’ needs. This detailed documentation supported the creation of comprehensive guides and provided a clear roadmap for the development process.
_Sales Funnel Automation: To streamline the sales process, I used Go High Level to automate email campaigns and nurture leads. These automated processes included regular updates, valuable content, and calls to action, guiding potential customers from initial interest to active participation. Google Drive facilitated collaborative content development and storage, ensuring that all team members had access to the latest materials.
_Community Engagement: To tackle the challenge of inclusivity and community management, we implemented several measures. Enhanced moderation policies and tools were put in place to monitor and address inappropriate behaviour promptly. Clear community guidelines emphasizing respect and inclusivity were established and communicated to all members. A robust support system was created to allow users to report issues and receive timely assistance. Additionally, we provided regular training for moderators to handle sensitive situations effectively and maintain a positive community atmosphere.
By integrating these tools and strategies, we successfully created an inclusive and supportive community. This comprehensive approach ensured that the Full-Time Filmmaker portal was engaging, effective, and responsive to the diverse needs of its audience, ultimately fostering a dynamic learning environment where all users felt valued and safe.
Action Map
To bring the Full Time Filmmaker project to life, I collaborated with an experienced filmmaker as my subject matter expert (SME) and leveraged various tools and platforms to address the client’s needs and create an inclusive, engaging learning environment. Our initial task was to deeply understand the target audience, which included beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced professionals in filmmaking. This diverse group required a comprehensive and adaptable approach to meet their varied needs.
For learning design, I used Go High Level to meticulously upload course videos, ensuring they were organized into coherent modules that guided learners through the curriculum effectively. Creating detailed mockups and prototypes allowed us to visualize the user journey and refine the content flow through continuous feedback and usability testing, ultimately enhancing the learning experience.
In terms of visual design, Canva was instrumental. I created visually appealing website elements, banners, and landing pages that maintained a professional and consistent look resonant with the brand identity. These interactive and engaging visuals simplified complex concepts and made the platform more inviting for users.
Customer journey mapping was critical, and Google Docs was used extensively to document each stage of the user experience, from initial awareness to course completion. Mapping out the customer journey helped identify key touchpoints and ensured that interactions at each stage were tailored to meet users’ needs, supported by comprehensive guides and a clear development roadmap.
For sales funnel automation, Go High Level facilitated the automation of email campaigns and lead nurturing processes. This included regular updates, valuable content, and calls to action that guided potential customers from initial interest to active participation. Collaborative content development and storage were managed through Google Drive, ensuring all team members had access to the latest materials.
To tackle the challenge of community engagement and inclusivity, we developed an action map. I consulted with the SME to identify key areas requiring attention, such as creating an inclusive community, implementing effective moderation, establishing clear communication guidelines, developing a robust support system, and providing regular moderator training.
Enhanced moderation policies were implemented using Go High Level to monitor and address inappropriate behaviour promptly through complex automation workflows using IF/OR conditions.
Clear community guidelines emphasizing respect and inclusivity were established and communicated, while Canva was used to design banners and guidelines that were clear and inviting.
